Innovative Teaching Approach

  • Learning based centers are available for students to work at their own pace and are designed to spark future interests.
  • Students are allowed time to learn, interact, and collaborate with peers, while mastering concepts to which they have been introduced.
  • Teachers are not just teachers but serve as facilitators, setting the ground work and planting seeds for student to explore and master new skills.
  • Bright Learners will be allowed opportunities to explore and be active both mentally and physically.
  • Our school day will allow instruction to be given in small groups and whole groups, with direct instruction, and hands on exploration.
 

Curriculum Goals

Experiences are provided that routinely meet the needs of the children and stimulate learning in all developmental areas.  Daily activities

 focus on the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs of all Bright Learners.  Each child is looked upon as an individual with his

 or her own strengths and interests.  Your child will be given the chance to find and show their favorite interests through center based

 activities, both group and individual.  Our curriculum is based on themes of interest and pre-kindergarten mastery concepts.  The Bright

Learners program allows for a full day of interaction and practice, and is geared for success for confidence building and high self esteem

 enforcement.  Bright Learners curriculum is very child friendly as well as parent friendly.  This allows parents to learn new teaching styles

 as well as exposing children to them.  Print rich classrooms with opportunities for music and movement are the norm at Bright Learners

 Academy.  The Pre-kindergarten Guidelines as established  by the state of Texas will always be incorporated into all lesson plans.  The

 scope and sequence of these guidelines will always serve as a basis for all instruction and mastery at Bright Learners Academy.
